So I've exhausted my tired brain. Anyone point me in the right direction to get vm to email working on a linux box running one-x server. I have set up all the smtp info in the VM Client and I/m pretty sure its accurate. I think I can get out to the real world, or at least I can ping 8.8.8.8 from the one-x portal. VM is running fine, one-x server is running fine, just can't get the damn email to vm working. Any help or at least getting me in the right direction would be great. I'm thinking its the actual linux box that is blocking me but I'll be damned if I know where to look other then the basics. Thanks in advance.

I have heard possibly that the linux box needs a name server but not 100% on that.

Figure it out damn-it!

The linux server does not have a firewall enabled by default.
So that will not be the problem.
Turn on debugging and show what is happening.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Well how do I turn on debugging on a Linux box, cause I have tried on another PC, and its not seeing the VM. Also tried to telnet, but didn't have much success w/ that either.

Would I be looking in the CentOS portion of the server, or the bios portion to make sure the name server is accurate?

Figure it out damn-it!

So I have confirmed the following w/ the Linux box. I have DNS set to 4.2.2.2, 8.8.8,8. I have confirmed pinging and the smtp server I am trying to use through Linux commands in centos....still no work. Any thoughts?

What program do I use to look at the debug file?

Thanks in advance.

I was just told that voicemail to email on a Linux will not be supported to R8. Any chance of this being accurate? This is an R7 install w/ One X Server. Think this could be true?

Figure it out damn-it!
