I've been having this issue with several customers where the VMPro service on a Windows PC just stops, so I have to login and start it to get VM back up. They're all running windows 10 but some are running different versions of vmpro. 10.1 GA and R11 SP2. I thought the issue was the R10.1 GA so I ran a few upgrades to R11 SP2 and the issue still persists. Has anyone else run into this?

critchey i would love for everyone to move to an app server but many customers dont have the resources to do so or they're not about to spend extra cash. And i would never use the UCM....
What resources, if currently on a stand alone PC then that hardware is almost certainly capable of running apps server. if on a Virtual machine then resources are even less of an issue.
as to cost, there is no additional licenceing cost so it is just engineering time to reinstall & reload the configuration.

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

Ipguru how would I run the app server on a stand-alone PC? Plus that pc 99% of the time is my only access to the site. If the customer is already running VMs of course app server is my first choice.

The apps server install would wipe the pc so it is no use if the PC is also used for other functions.
We connect remotly either via Dialup networking when on ISDN or using a VPN so we do not need a remote desktop.

That makes sense in some scenarios but not all. Thanks for the advice.

Perfs task setup works great! Was able to see it work though the event logs.

Update on this issue all. The task seemed to have worked awesome for a while, but now were back at it again with random service stops. All machines are running windows 10 and the only common factor is they're all HPs. Other Windows 10 PCs are running fine...
