Hi, has any one had an issue putting VMpro on a WIN 7.
IPO 500 - 6.1.5
VM Pro – 6.1.16
Contact Store – 7.8.16
On site last week to set up and all working ok, software all loaded ok, Manager app working VMPro working and Contact store tested all ok.(system not swapped over yet, should have been today but long story could not get to site), yesterday I was connecting remotely via logmein which after a few minutes kicked me out, when I finally got connected again. The VMPro Client would not open. Checked service and VMprodb service not present. Now I can not connect remotely as PC offline (I believe crashed)
Any pointers as could save me a load of time on Monday morning.

Thanks in advance

check in the task manager if there is another incident of Voicemail Pro running (show processes from all users) , someone might have locally (or via RDP) opened it and left it running instead of closing it.

if someone has been using rdp to administer VM Pro it may well have corrupt your DB if the console wont open.

using rdp to manage vmpro is a NO NO

Thanks, will check task manager on Monday.
Regards rdp on to the VMpro machine no one else would have connected but me via logmein.
Support a good few sites via logmein and not experienced problems, have we just been lucky so far does logmein have the same potential issues as rdp.

Thanks

I have about 50 sites on logmein and about 10 of them on Win7 so I don't see any problem with it so far.

Logmein is not a problem at all.
Only RDP will mess up the database.
Perhaps someone else RDP'd in to the machine?

As of 6.0 there's no vmprodbservice anymore. So that's one thing less to investigate.

Thanks for every ones input. On site today and PC would crash and reboot. New PC is going to be supplied.

Thanks again
