Hello ...

I have a Problem Connectivity between Avaya IPO500v2 8.1 (43) and VMPro (8.1).
The License Installed is: R8+ Preferred Edition (VM Pro)
The VMPro Installed on Windows 7
Here is the Problems in details:

1. The VMPro is Connected online to the IPO
2. After complete configure VMPro Module, and try to test it using live playing it to Extn, I face the f0llowing error:
- for first time its working properly
- for second test, the voice either working but not completed, working but silence, ringing the phone then disconnected, or some
times shows that "extension not available".
on the phone which I playing a VM to it for tested, I noted that the first button is hanging (VM:INVITE), also on VMPro when I
press the paly icon some times hanging.
3. when I dial the voicemail shortcode or Mailbox Shortcode (*17), nothing disconnected.
4. when Press the Message button on the phone shows that (Voicemail not running)
5. The error logged in System status is: "The following system resources are al in use: Voicemail Channels"
In System Status - Voicemail, the licence is seen and showing 0 in use.

The Windows firewall is turnned off, there is no Antivirus, I test this on many server (windows 7, Windowa Server 2008, Windowa Server 2003), all tests is the same as above.
On the system status I noted also the following alarms:
"Voicemail Pro/Lite fails to connect to the Control Unit, Incorrect password.
PC IP Address: 192.168.1.251"
the VMPro software is installed correctly in the server and I type the username and passwprd of the server during instaaltion and the VMPro is login with no failure login, so I'm wondering this alarms.

Any ideas?

Thank you in advance.

Regards.

Dear Gunnaro,,

Sorry, but if I understand you mean to move the exist SD card with licenses install on it to a new IP Office Control Unit, this will ssolve my problem

Thanks.

Still not a psychic, can't promise you anything.

Changing the control unit is your idea, the majority seems to think the issue is somewhere else, but this is your call.
Moving the SD card will make the new control unit a clone of the old straight away.

Don't they teach this at boot camp in .JO?

Kind regards

Gunnar

This more sound as a problem with the server.
What else is running on it?
What are the specs?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

try using another port on your data switch for the voicemail pro server, may have a faulty data port.

Hello All,

As I tell previous, the problems is not in the customer networks, its in a IPO.
Now I need to know if you can help me how to solve it.

Thanks.

Well if you know the problem then fix it.

Dear Gunnaro ...

First I tell you that I dont Know if moving the SD card to new control unit will solve the problem or not.
Just need an answer.

Thanks.

John, there is no answer, you have to try.
Still i think it is in the server itself.
So i will ask again.

What else is running on the VMPro server and what specs does it have?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Hello telpeter ,

As I tell previous I test the customer IPO direct on my laptop (my laptop is now the VMPro server, not the server located on the customer).
when test my IPO the flow is working, when test the customer IPO the problem is return back.
each test is seprated from the customer network.

Thanks in Advance

So what is left as possible causes?

IPO chassis, Programming, VCM Cards? Seems to be the chassis. So change it and wait for the results.

Wild guess, your customer has Jordanian analog lines? (They suck when it comes to VMPro)

Before you go changing the IPO, have you tried connecting the VMPro server to the WAN port of the customers IPO (If that is free?)

Kind regards

Gunnar
