Has anyone had issues where VMPro was not saving changes after Save & Make Live? The Customer thought they'd be smooth and change the directory for VM files, so I think this is where my problem may lie. I will be revisiting the site later this week and would like to know if simply moving the Root.vmp file may be the solution?

The voicemail pro in probably in offline mode. You need to login before you can save and make live. Look at the top left of the screen and see if it says "offline mode".

I can assure the client was "online," thanks though Telecomboy. Any other thoughts anyone?

customerS making major system changes without full understanding is always a recipe for disaster [banghead]

The only time I have been able to change the location of these files is during installation.

remind the customer of the most important rule of engineering:-
IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT!

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

Maybe the VM Pro is in backup mode? Check the right top corner of the VM pro client while logged into the system

Recently I ran in a similar problem with a Windows version of VM pro.
The problem was that the VMPro service was running under a normal user account and after a update of the Windows OS users did not have the right to write in the folder "Program Files(x86)" and underlaying folders, then it appeared that a recording was saved because they could listen to the new recording but when saved nothing was stored.
That is because a new recording is stored in a temp folder of the user were can be written to but if they press 3 to store it fails because of user rights.
My solution was brute : I gave all users all rights on the program files folders.

Ah, I think intrigrant may be on to something there. I can see that being the most likely problem.
And I agree IPGuru. I'm just a contractor to this site, so I only get to work on the system when they really f it up.
Thanks Okkie26, appreciate your input but that's not it. They only have one VMPro server.
I'm just going to reinstall VMPro, will be easy enough. Thanks Guys!

lol, sometimes customers change their account passwords, and VM pro stops working.

Wish the problem was that easy Zandolee...would've been fixed over the phone

Forgot to mention, simply reinstalling VMPro on the drive they wanted it on fixed the problem. 1st tried Exporting then re-Importing the database made it lose all the wav files, apparently losing source of the directory for some reason even though they were all on both the original directory as well as the new one they had copied them to. Instead of messing around to try figuring it out, I just ended up doing a fresh reinstall
