Can I create a vmpro module that reads back my extension? We have cutover hundreds of analogs in an old plant and had to renumber them. The customer could go to phone and dial 8000 for instance and the vmpro would read back the extension they are calling from. I know someone has done it.....

Depending on the URI configuration the ICR can be completely ignored.
If your URI is configured to use internal data then the IP Office will look into the user's SIP tab and if you have *'s it will look into ICR.
