Hello,

We recently updated our VMPro menu and we removed the ability to dial extensions directly from the main menu, they now how to press 1 to go to a sub menu to do this. We also added new options. Our extensions include the ranges, 4XXX, 6XXX, 8XXX. The problem is that users are still assuming the menu will accept extensions and by attempting to dial extensions starting with 4 or 6 they are being routed to those menu options.

Is there some way to catch that the user is dialing more than one number or delay the time before the menu interprets the keypress? If I can determine they are trying to dial an extension and route them accordingly instead of them automatically going to the incorrect menu option that would be awesome.

You can set it up to accept both the single keypress AND the extension number

For instance, option 4 and extensions 4XXX:

In your first menu, connect 4 to another menu, no prompt, has Touch Tones of ??? and a 2 second timeout.
Connect the timeout to the single keypress 4 option.
Connect the ??? to a Transfer action with 4$KEY as the destination.
