Trying to setup ip500/vmpro to let outside callers get to a meetme conference with pin numbers.

Have set up short code *85*N# - Conference Meet Me - N

Incoming Dest of a DID set to MeetMe

Have set up Module MeetMe in VMPro.
Module asks for Conference Room, then asks for PIN,
then transfers to Room.

Doesn't seem to be working.

Try using this

555
conference meet me
555
0

Setup incoming call route to the module
In the module play your announcement for the pin
Then do a transfer to 555

Yes, for some reason VM doesn't like transferring to * shortcodes (it used to), it looks like as Avaya are upping the advanced features we are slowly losing the basics ones :)

My conference bridge allows users to choose their own conference id number or you can assign via manual policy. Each step can have a custom recording and timeout value.

In Manager -
- Create a short code for ConferenceMeetMe

Open VM Pro -
- Create a start point called Conference
- Create a Check Digits item VALIDATE PIN - your PIN is being checked. False loops back to re-enter, Timeout goes to an operator, True goes to menu item GET ID.
- Create menu item GET ID. Whatever string you want to have for a conference id saves in a ????.
- Create an assisted transfer, transfer $KEY to the ConferenceMeetMe short code. Example: *91*$KEY#
- Record prompts and assign audio prompts for each item.

In Manager -
- Create a short code to point to Conference
- Create a DID number and forward to Conference short code

Kyle:

Thanks much for the instructions. For whatever reason, had to redefine the wav file locations, but other than that, it is a beautiful thing.

By the way I like Rdy2Taxi's idea as well. I use to have a module called menuDynamicConf that did the same thing but used my TUI password (menuSetConfPass) to modify the password. I just don't like that all conferences have the same password in that most people, even if given the ability to use any random number they like, use the same number over and over for the conference bridge. If the password stays static then anyone who likes can get back into that bridge without permission. To my surprise I've actually found people using a customer's conference bridges without permission on more than one occasion especially when there is a toll free number involved. One guy was using it to talk to all his buddies while playing an online video game.
