We recently migrated our system over from Windows to Linux AS for VMPro. Management is still on a IP500v2.
IP500 is 11.1.0.1.0 build 95 and AS is 11.1.2100-3_el7 with Voicemail Pro client as 11.1.2200_8

In Manager and VMPro, the voicemail password is the same and "Enable Voicemail Pro Client Interface" is enabled yet since switching the VMPro over from Windows to Linux, I've been unable to login to the Voicemail Pro client.
What username/password combo is it expecting? I can't seem to get any combination to work. It either fails with "User login failed." or "Invalid User or Password."

I'm aware I can download/upload offline and push the config in via the Web Manager but this seems like a huge PITA. Please someone tell me I've overlooked something.

The voicemail pro client uses the Administrator password set on the Application server when the App server was built
are you sure that is what you are using

I've tried that and it rejects me. Those same credentials work when I login to the Web Manager on :7070

Web manager on the IP Office or Web Manager on the Application server?

you might need to use manager to access the security settings of the ip office that is hidden in the Application server to reset the passwords correctly as the next step.
this is really a task your maintainer should be performing

The credentials on both IP Office and AS are the same for the web manager.

As it's out of hours, I've managed to play around a bit. If I point the IP Office at the old Windows Voicemail server, I can login to the Linux Voicemail server and the Administrator credentials work fine.
As soon as I switch the IP Office back over to the Linux Voicemail server, nada. No more logging into it. I tried the switching a few times with identical outcomes.

Try playing with referred authentication on the App server (in web administration)
I think it probably needs to be disabled.

Make sure you enabled the 'voicemail pro' client in the web management.

You need to enable this in order to make VM pro client work.

Well spotted Okkie26
I forgot that one.

The option is enabled in web management. I'm going to roll back the migration to Windows server and let someone else take over :)
