Default Start Points - Leave option: the mandatory need is to leave, for all users, the same message.

Adding a Leave Mail Module the message has been recorded but after that message is heard VmPro adds the default user one, is there a way to avoid it ?

tks

what are you trying to achieve? Default start points are exactly that and you should avoid changing them.

I no want to change/erase starting point, i would put a Leave Mail module for ALL users with the same message, without the user default message ("user 2 0 1, etc..") is released.

You mean you do not want to hear externsion 201 is not available etc etc etc

Let the user record there name and replace it with a silence
YOu can find this in the folder C:\Program Files\Avaya\IP Office\Voicemail Pro\VM\Names

In there you will see the name of the user
Rename it and then replace it with the silence wich need to be renamed to the original user name
Then you hear the silence
Make the silence 1 second

Do you want everyone to have a customised greetint but the messages still go into the relavent mailbox??

If so, Voice question is you winner, as above. You will need to set it to each user start point and everytime a username changes, update VM Pro.

@jamie,

Couldn't you just add the 'voice question' to the default leave. And sent the voicemail to a $variable that contains the current user?
(Have no available VMPro at hand and don't know the $... name)
Then you would have only one default leave action and no hassle when a username changes.

If you change the default leave then you will also affect any standard Group mailboxes in the same way!!

That might work. would have to play and see.

If you had users as 2XXX and groups as 3XXX you might be able to use conditions to leave groups as deafult.

Or change the default and add all groups as thier own start point and stuff a leave mail in there so they are default.
