Someone have found the wav file in thread940-1450093 ?

We have that issue with Dial By Name. With phone inside we could search by the dial by name search only on the firstname in the field FullNane and for the call from extern they could search by last name.
What we want is the inside phone to search by name like the extern call.

I try to trick the system to put in the field FullName with that syntax (lastname space firstname) and saying for the extern call to search by firstname. LIke this everyone search by lastname. But I could not find the wav file for the extern call saying "Search by your firstname and press the #". I want to change it to saying "Search by lastname" even if in reality it is the firstname !

We have Avaya 9.0.5 build972.

Against the 'no user' user, place this source number to search by the last name in the system directory:
TUI:NAME_SEARCH_MODE=3

Change the value: 3, to 1 to search by first name
Also
2: I think is last name only
3: Both names?

I am not an expert on AVAYA but where in AVAYA, I put you TUI:NAME_SEARCH_MODE=3 (2 for searching by name).

The phone I have is model 9611G.

In the config, in the source number tab like in this picture:

but is for the user with the name of "nouser". I think the idea is something like every phone must have a user logged in. If noone else is logged in, then the system uses this user with the name "nouser". There's little changes to the system you can do by adding certain commands in the source numbers of that user with the name nouser - just like in the PDF below is an example of some. In this case, there a command to put in the source numbers to do dial by name the way you want.

TUI:NAME_SEARCH_MODE=X

Where X=

1 – default action, matches to First name

2 – matches to Last name

3 – matches to either First OR Last name

4 – matches to Middle name, but NOT to first or last (for “Fred J Flintstone”, pressing 3 for F brings up No Match, but pressing 5 for J matches the middle name/initial)

5 – matches to First name OR Middle name, but NOT last name

6 – matches to Last name OR Middle name, but NOT first name

...also 7 which is match on first, middle and last names. Basically 1, 2 and 4 are the actual option but you can combine them to get 3, 5, 6 and 7.

There's several hundred NoUser Source Nubmbers but to find them you need to download the app onto your phone and go searching for NoUserSourcemon - gotta catch them all!

TUI:NAME_SEARCH_MODE is a sub-Googlewhack, something that returns no results on Google - which will apply for only a few days as they index Tek-Tips quite regularly at which point it will be Googlewhack for a while.

How can I do now for SoftConsole ?

In that software the receptionist could just transfert a call by using the name but, like on the phone a the beginning, it is searching just by the first name.
