ip OFFICE V2 EMBEDDED, WHEN DOES A VMAIL PORT USED FOR AUTO ATTENDANT GO IDLE ? AFTER CALLER DIALS EXTENSION ? OR AFTER EXTENSION ANSWERS [AS IN SUPERVISED TRANSFER] AND IF EXTENSION RING NO ANSWERS TO MAILBOX IS THAT USING 2 PORTS ?
Intrigant
I switched to small letters ....so if ports are used for message only then a message , "that destination is unavailable" obviously means that the vmail destination is working because it played the message so a destination unavailable would mean the dialed is extension is unavailable or the mailbox is unavailable ?
Yes it suppose so but in another thread there is a discussion about "destination unavailable" so it might be a bug.
Can you reproduce the error and how is that setup?
It occurs when 2 outside callers simultaneously attempt to dial the same extension and on ring no answer to embedded mail one caller gets the mailbox the second caller gets prompt, "That destination is unavailable" message then a long pause then a sub menu message plays . This same scenario with 2 internal calls will not fail they both get mailbox.
The prompt destination unavailable is a non-intuity prompt listed as mnu_9.wav in mail pro , the mailboxes are using email notification , I am thinking that the destination not available may have to do with simultaneous packets from a single mailbox to email. I will disable the email feature and see if it occurs while email is off today. It does not generate any errors in trace either unless I am not tracing the right instances.
