i have a partner ACS release 4, with a new partner messaging voice mail. On two extensions, calls that are sent in by the auto attendant, will go to voice mail. But calls transferred to those extensions and internal calls will not go to voice mail. Both extensions are set up, and show a telephone assigned to them. Both extensions are well within the dial plan (23 and 27). Both extensions show VM coverage on 3 rings. Any suggestions?

Is auto vms cover set? #310, 1 assigned -for each extension you want to cover to voicemail.

yes it is..... and it covers on calls transferred in by the auto attendant

You may want to make sure that VMS cover F15 is not programmed onto the phones in question. It might actually exist on a button that does not apper on the phone (buttons 19-34 on an 18 button set for instance)

Try programming a VMS cover button on the phone, Toggle it on and off, then Erase the button

I am experiencing the same problem with one extension; did you ever resolve this problem, if yes, how?

Thanks in advance.

Press feat 00 on the phone with the prob. Press a blank button. Press Feat 15. Feature 00. Now go back into programming and press that button again then press the mic/hfai button. Then feature 00

That would put the button on the phone and delete it. If that was programmed on the phone it will override Auto vms cover.

could the phone status be set to no phone on those problem extensions in the partner messaging. trans to vm would work, but transfering to an ext may cause that problem. I would think it would go right to vm, just a thought.

Thanks for the programming info. The extension did not have Automatic VMS Cover - #310 - set to "assigned". After turning this on, internal VM coverage starting working.
