For some reason I cannot map any network drives from my VM guest OS'es or add them to the domain. These are Windows 2003 Server Enterprise Edition guests. I've tried turning off Windows Firewall off on both the host server and the guest images, but no luck so far. Any ideas?... The host OS allowed me to add it to the domain and map network drives just fine... I'm stumped on this issue.

I've posted this same question on the VMTN Forum and no one can figure out the problem there either.

looks like dns is working.
You stated the you fixed the DNS suffix, when you do an ipconfig on the VM are you seeing the change you made?

Something is blocking it from working, not DNS. DNS simply converts IP addresses to names, and vice-versa...

CASE SOLVED: This was caused by using the default Microsoft 32-bit network adapter driver that came with Windows 2003 Enterprise Server. I had to go to the NIC manufacturer and specifically download the 64-bit driver (in this case it was Broadcom...) and then install it, then reboot. Once I did this, VMware performs fine and I am able to add VM guests to the domain.
