I am having a problem with a system IP office 406V2 3.2.53 with a Voicemail Pro 3.2.28. The site has 11 Centrex trunks in an ATM 16 module. The system is fully automated. When you call the system the attendant answers and the message plays. During part of the message your call is transfered to the operator without dialing any digits. When you run a debug the system is seeing the digit 9 and transfering the call to the operator. This is happening in several places in the attendant and at the same time on all calls. Also when a call goes to certain users voicemail it transfers to the receptionist before being able to leave a message. Ran debug and it sees a 0 and sends call to attendant. This is only happening on calls from the analog lines and on all lines in the system. If you dial the internal access code for the attendant it works fine all the time and also for individual users. I tried changing the analog options for the lines but I had no success. The telco said all lines are within their specs. This is a State facility with no chance of changing to a pri. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas to help??

set up one of the analog pots exts with a user. plug single pair line cord from the pots ext to one of the analog trunk ports. call the pots ext from one of the digital phones. this will simulate an analog trunk. see if you have the same issue.

this will help to isolate the issue to the lines themselves, or to point you toward the ipo trunk ports, or ipo itself. you may need to unplug the simulated trunk to get it to release timely, as they sometimes take some time to release after you hang up. if it still happens at the pots ext simulating an analog trunk line then look toward the ipo.

what the telco says is irelavant, never believe what they say about their equipment not having an issue. still look for an issue on your end though. telco's as a rule with exceptions are not to be trusted on anything you do not verify yourself. if their is a channel bank providing the pots trunks, some have issues like the adit 500 or 600.

also, do all the testing yourself, and do not rely on third party input, recreate the issue yourself.

I have had this happen only 2 times in 10 years and it was the persons voice both times. Have them rerecord with a different voice and see what happens. I have never seen it on anyother system but the IPO.

i have seen a persons voice activate dtmf on a few systems.

in the menu on the entry prompts tab, uncheck allow prompts to be interupted by tones. if that fixes it, rerecord prompts. i have also seen someone calling out on speaker in the background get picked up in the aa recording and kick the call to the digit overheard during aa recording.
