We have inherited as system with groups set to play 1st Queue message then the 2nd queue, however after the 1st message plays we just have silence although post announcement tone is set to ringing and the 2nd message never plays although it is ticked.
The Wav's are good as if I swap them around they do play and there is no silence at the end of either of them.

To confirm the Wav's are on the VM Pro groups queued and still queued. Start Points > Menu (so callers can press 1 to leave a message)and this is where the Wav's are. No Timeout has been set.

Am I doing this wrong or is this a bug?

The IPO500 and VM are both on 9.0.11

I would be grateful for any advice.

Do you have this setup:

Did you test the announcements in a module which you can dial into with a phone?
Module "testmessqge" Start > Generic with the announcements in it
shortcode *99/"testmessage"/Voicemail Collect

Does it play all messages?

The setup is as above but with the post announcement set as "ringing".
All messages do play within a separate module
If I use a a Generic action it works but using the Menu action it does not, should I be using a menu action in this set up?
I can use the 1st Q with "Generic" then the 2nd Q with "Menu" then timeout back to itself but again there will be silence whist the timer runs, I have considered just putting a wav with ringing tone within the Entry Prompts, but as a last resort.
Again it appears the issue is with using "Menu" so should I be using this in an announcement ?

The problem is the time-out which you connect back to start.
It should not, if a call has to stay in the queue then leave the time-out option action unconnected.
Also if a caller press 1 to stay in the queue then do not connect the 1 output to another action.

Hi Intrigrant, I have only just used the timeout to loop the message as otherwise I get complete silence after the message, do I need the caller to press something to stay in a queue?

No, a action with a open end keeps the caller in the queue
