i know it was possible with a few other systems i have worked on..

is it possible to have an option in the AA that when selected automatically parks the caller and pages phones announcing the park position?

Sure, transfer to a short code.
But you can do this with one call at the time.
Perhaps a counter action and a capable can take care of this.
I never tried though.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Yeah that could get tricky, one call at a time only as tlpeter said. No way of knowing if the call was unparked or if the slot is available. I suppose you could have it cycle through park zones.

You could have a bunch of user vars like Park1, Park2, Park3, etc.
After a park, set the var to 1, and before each park, check the var, if it equals 1, try the next park zone. Once it has hit the 4th park, have it set the park zones to 0...but you could have some serious timing issues if you have a high call volume.

After the transfer, you have the ability to follow up with another action I believe (complete call sequence), and maybe have it go to a page action.

this isn't something i have tried but what about parking the call to an extension. i think it starts to number the calls like 0 1 2. not sure how well it would work.

what i am really looking for is something like what i have seen at my local pep boys.

i am not sure what kind of pbx they have but the way their system works is when you call their number the aa gives you a press 1 for service 2 for parts etc

then the entire store hears an automated page that says something like "call for service xxx

what about queue to a group with announcements on or constant moh with a group key on users phones, transfer to group or automaticaly route through the AA:eek:r VM:call flow with no action option in a menu?

for the announcement to phones can you set to anto answer on the page group with the new call screening or whisper feature in VM pro & embedded then play about with options in the voicemail to route back to queue?

It sounds like they have a paging solution of some kind that can digitally record set announcements and gets triggered to play on a ringing analog extension. Then they can hit a pickup button, while the caller hears hold music on the transfer. Could even be a transfer to a hunt group that can handle more than one inbound ringing call.

Just a thought....
