I am trying to set a PIN for an internal conference bridge and was told it's not possible. Has anyone successfully done this? I cant imagine its not possible. I can create external bridges with PINs just fine, but when I try to create an internal one, callers are not prompted for a pin. Any help or suggestions are very much appreciated. Thank you in Advance!!

Just ensure that whatever shortcode is used to access the internal conference bridge (not an adhoc conference using the conf button on the phone as this cannot be pin protected) points to the VM module that has PIN control on it.

Let me preface this by saying I am still somewhat of a newbie at this but I believe I have that set up correctly. For example I have a short code of *8371 that points to a vm pro module of SetPIN8371 using voicemail collect. Then I have another short code of 8371 that is using conference meet me and points to a vm pro module Conf8371. When I dial *8371 internally I can obviously set the pin but if I dial 8371 internally I am not prompted for the pin. I am just instantly connected to the bridge. Am I missing something? Thanks.

It doesnt sound like the Conf8371 module is set to ask for a pin.

post a pic of the flow up.

Your 8371 is just a conference meet me shortcode isn't it? If that's the case, then it won't ask for a pin.
You need to have people dial some other code to be prompted, it's not automatic, it's a manual process.
You need to create some other code for them to dial internally, like **8371. Direct that to VM:Conf8371, where it asks for a pin code using any number of methods, and then transfer to shortcode 8371.

Again, Im still learning so I greatly appreciate all your help. I know this can be done a little easier than what I've done. When I call externally it works fine.

If code 8371 is the conference shortcode then of course there is no Pin request, as it isn't going to VM Pro. You need a shortcode that goes to the "Conf8371" module to test it :)

Thanks AACon. If that's the case, couldnt a user still just enter the bridge by dialing 8371 and bypassing the **8371 altogether. They would have to be aware enough to do that but it's possible right?

I GOT IT LOL. You guys are great, thanks so much for helping!!!!

That's correct. They could. That's why you may want to make 8371 the actual code to dial to get to the VMPRO module, but make the meet me shortcode something obtuse like **8371999, but make the telephone number 8371, so that will show up on the phone. Then if they dial it, they always get to the prompt and won't know what is actually being sent as a shortcode.

I usually create the meet me short code like !conf8371/meet me/8371 and set !conf8371 as transfer target. VMPro is able to transfer to such a short code but a user on his phone is not.
