Hi

Im trying to set up a button on a handset that will skip the "you have x new messages etc etc" but take the user straight to "Record Greeting after the tone"
but cant seem to do it.

any pointers?
thanks

Visual voice is your option.

Perhaps i am missing the point but that is because you are not very clear in what you want and in what situation.

You would need to use a bit of clever programming in VM Pro and an edit play list action, then a button set to go the call flow to achieve this :)

visual voice has too many key presses for the client zzzzz

they want to be able to push a preprogrammed key on the handset and it will go straight to "record after the tone"

thanks amriddle01 thats kinda what Im trying to do but just cant figure it out

It using visual voice is too much hassle then tell those lazy #$@#$ (censured) to stop wining.
When the phone rings the all look at each other who is going to pick it up ?
Are they too lazy to even move an arm for it ?

Laziness will never ever be solved by programming a PBX.
You can program it in a smart way to make it easier but that is it.

I think I know where you will be gettig stuck, due to the old "Relative file path" issue, you get around that by making exactly the follwing entry for the wav file just substituting the "Username" for the users wav file name obviously:

..\Greetings\Username.wav

amriddle01, nice one! that did the trick, thanks alot.

I understand that you wont have that conversation :)
I have been there and done that too.

Sometimes you just wish that you did not care and just could walk away from those customers.
