Hi guys, hoping someone can help me with this.

I have been trying to setup a callflow for our company so that you hit a menu and then if you type a mobile number that will set a variable and mean that when that variable is true the calls will route to the mobile number entered at the menu.

Basically so i girl in the office can dial a sort code. punch in her number and then all the office calls will forward to whats shes entered. I know there are loads of ways to do this but id like to run it this way as she is a very basic user and we have a number off different groups ext. but if i can do it this way. i can set our in hours time callflow and have this veriable in there aswell.

Sorry if this makes no sense and just ask if iv missed somthing. Its really hard explaining in a box and not face to face with someone. :)

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure i understand fully, but here's my best shot at answering this.

If you want an easy way to toggle the incoming calls to a cell phone, how about creating a user that is unconditionaly forwarded to the cell phone and have a user foward the phone that rings on incoming call to that user?

If that is not what your trying to accomplish, sorry for chiming in.

you can activate, deactivate, or change a mobile twinning number with VM pro.

The fellow who runs the site linked below has a number of helpful modules up, including this one

I think there's one error in the Generic action for 'Set mobile twinning number', specific tab, the command:
CFG:Set $CP0 mobile_twinning_number$KEY
needs a space between number and $KEY. IIRC, I had to change that to get it to work the last time I played around with it.

This piece of the module is very similar to a mobile twinning bit found in the VM Pro help files, but it shows a _ between number and $KEY... anyway I got it to work (actually change the mobile twinning number) using the space (didn't find the _ thing till later).

I've never actually used this because I can't figure how to make the module actually usable remotely. You can do it from the extension for that user (dial *17), but doing it remotely means you need some kind of security on it... the easiest thing is probably to use the VM passcode as security, but I've never managed to get that to work (e.g. adding the menuremote module to a user's collect start point)... I'm probably doing something stupidly wrong, but I've never managed to use it remotely.

Create 2 user variables.

Call 1 forward
Call the other fwdnumber

Create a pin protected module that sets the user variable forward to yes, and then asks for a number using a menu to collect it. Probably easiest if you tell them to make sure they enter a nine.

Set the user fwdnumber user variable to the $KEY that she entered.

In your main call flow, test user variable "forward" for "yes". If so, transfer to $REG[fwdnumber]

If false, go about your normal call flow.
