VM Pro - Auto attendant - setting menu option to "RETRY Extension" - Needing help

Hi

Im after a little help if you can.

Ive got a generic auto attendant module that i can attach to all users "Leave" start point - i.e extension rings then goes to vm. The menu option at the moment is "Press 1 to leave a voice mail, press 2 to be transferred to reception, 3 to be put through to another team member, * to hear these options again"... Its been asked of me to add in another option - "Press 4 to retry the extension again". Basically they want the phone that just rang, to ring again, just in case they just missed it or the ext was busy. i could do this on a singular basis, but to do it for all users would take an age. Can it be done like the "Leave Mail - Caller's Mailbox", where it's the extension matching the start point of the call ... Can it be done, if so, how? im at a loss.

That's just plain silly, you may as well increase the initial ring time to stop it being missed in the first place. What next .....make it ring a 3rd time just in case they also missed it the second time :)

 
Better use the Queued or Still Queued for this, then it can ring forever snd only count as one missed call.

Just put the mini in, add a time out. That makes it continue ringing target extn.

this is a serious waste of effort

the default mailbox has 3 breakout options already

0 traditionally reception, 2 & 3

why not simply programm 2 to ring the Group & set option 3 back to the original extn (have not tried this part so it may not work but as other people has suggested it is a little pointless anyway)



A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear
 
Personally I prefer Coverage group or No Answer to a HG, spares the VM ch. usage.
But as always, all roads lead to Rome [smile]
