VM light won't turn off

I have a system at 4.1.12. I have a user that has a personel message and two hunt groups. All three are in the source codes. There are not any messages in any of the three voicemail boxes. I have tried the short codes:
*79*N#
Display Msg
N"; Msgs=0"
0
*78*N#
Display Msg
N"; Msgs=1"
0

*77
Display Msg
U";"U Msgs=0

No luck. Are there any other ideas out there. I can't reboot per their administration. I can reboot in the middle of the night, but was wondering if there was anyway to change this through the VM/accounts folder?

I imagine there was a user name change at some point and you never cleared out the mailbox first, workaround is to create a user with the exact same name as the original and then listen/delete the message, failing that a restart of the vm services can work but often a system restart is required

P.s the code only tends to turns the light off if a code was used to turn it on

Thanks. You are correct. There was a message left when the name was changed. They have someone on site that changes the names and passwords. I found out about it after the fact. I was just hoping there was a way to do it through the account file. Not excited about the middle of the night changes.
