Hi all,
A quick question, is it possible for vm only for calls coming in from the outside and not from internal extension.
And when I say external calls, I also mean calls that call in and are then transferred to an internal extension.

thanks

Hi Tom,
the customer wants internal calls to ring and ring and never go to vm. And yes they have VM Pro

oh right.

well you could use the route incoming call on the mailbox. if external go to mailbox, if internal transfer back to switchboard. i wouldn't transfer back to the user because if they are in dnd or something it will create a loop.

Ip office route internal and external call in the same way.
Perhaps you could put a little menu in voicemail box like Automated Attendant with option select another number or leave a message.

This is one for Universal Plan 'B' (if all else fails CHEAT)

This will work if the user does not want any diverts on their handset

disable vm on the user
creat a short code for a mailbox drop

Sc: <whatever>
tn: '#<UserName>
feature: Voicemail collect
enable forward no answere & forward busy with the short code as destination

Disable forwarding for internal calls
