Hi,

When I use a standard vlookup formula with the data below, it returns wrong data.

A B

m1 40
e1 50
p1 60
m2 70
e2 80
p2 90
m3 120
e3 130
p3 140

Cheers

Hi,

WHAT formula? VLOOKUP can be used and missused.

Without knowing what you were trying to do it is impossible to say for sure, but if the last argument of the VLOOKUP is FALSE (or zero), you likely won't have to sort the data!
