VLDB - Dates

I'm extracting information from the VLDB, and am curious about the way dates are stored. For example, a row in the job_record table has a value of 948605476 in the jobstarttime column.

From the ARCserve reports, it seems that this value resolves to 2008-04-10 18:17.

If someone could tell me how that numeric value resolves to that timestamp, I would be eternally grateful. Thanks!

No, the VLDB, which is a Velocis Raima database.

not sure what algorithm or logic is used to resolve..
