I'm trying to configuer the 46xx phones to do tagging on my network. The firmware on the phones is the current version, and we're running CM 2.1. I have my switch ports in VLans 9 and 12 and the switch port is set as a trunk port. (VLan 9 is Voice and 12 is Data). The default Vlan switch port is 9. I don't know how to configuer the 46xxSettings file however. I've tried many different things with out much success. Has anyone gotten this to work? I'd appreciate any help anyone can offer, or a useful guide to point me at. I want the phone switch port to be Vlan 12 (Data).

Thanks!

If the default vlan on the switchport is 9 (voip) how will the desktops know to go to vlan 12 (data)? My thought is they won't.

Set the default vlan as 12, but include option 176 statements in dhcp to send the phones to vlan=9.

You can also configure the phones for vlan 9 in the phone settings available at press * to program while it is awaiting dhcp assignments. With native vlan=9, the phones may not give you much time to press *, but you will have some.
