VIsuall C++ fro WIN98 PC

I am a novice using C++ and VISUAL C++. My company got me Visual C++.NET standard from my WIN2000 PC at work.

I wanted to load it at home (I was off on family leave) to try it out. My PC at home is WIN98.

It wouldn't let me load it. It said it wouldn't work in WIN98.

when I look for a version that will work in WIN98 it gives me 25400174 (product number).

that's what I have. but it wont load in win98.

do I need an old version?? if so which one??

It only works on NT 4.0, 2000 or XP

P.S. I REALLY recommend that you upgrade to a superior operating system (Windows 2000 or XP).

Will is correct about upgrading your OS if possible. If not Visual C++ 6 will run on Win95/98/ME
