Hey guys...Some of you will find this a very easy question, which I find confusing. What's the major difference between MS Visual Studio and MS Visual Studio.net. For example I use Visual C++, so what difference will the Visual C++.net do for me. I'm not a pro programmer yet, so will i need that .net thing. And a related question is that I'm also starting to put some time into Visual Basic. So do you guys recommend me Visual Basic 6, or Visual Basic.net. Will there be any real difference. Will i lose anything if I use Visual Basic.net or sould i say all of the .net Studio, or it's ok to use the regular Visual Basic 6. I know that this is only Visual C++ forum, and i shouldn't have included other subjects, but my real general inquiry is just about the .net environment.
Thanks

.net is just a fancy marketing name for version 7 -- so if you want the latest enhancements (including the C# language), go with .net. If you want to be several versions behind but maybe save some money, go with version 6.

Thank you very much teriviret...I appreciate your response...[thumbsup2]
