When i create a new project thru VI(VISUAL INTERDEV)- IT STORES A COPY OF MY PROJRCT (FILES,IMAGES..) ON MY COMPUTER AND A MASTER COPY ON THE SERVER. The location of these directories are they defaulted on my computer - and on my server - where are the stored ? Can i create a web application on my server(thru IIS 5.0) and assign that location for my master copy of project???

When you create a new project you can tell it where to store the local copy. You can create an IIS application in IIS5.0 then copy over the program. You would use the Deploy tool in Visual Interdev

Try manually creating a virtual directory on the 'Master' server, and set its actual path as required - creating the subdirectories with file explorer.

Then you can create a new web solution in VI. You specify the 'local' name and location - then you must to attach to your 'existing' master web. But hold on - the manually created web does not appear in the drop-down list! Just type the name of the existing virtual web in the create-new-master-web textbox, and continue with the wizard. VI will detect that the web exists, find its location and add to that instead - and updated the (hidden) IIS metadata to signify that that web is visible to VI (for other VI users).
