Recently upgraded from Mas 1.8 to 4.1, now some of the fields will not import into the Invoice area successful. Right now the one that has me stumped is Job number, when I look up the error it says "XXXX Job number XXXX is not on file", but when I go into MAS to check I do see that Job has already been created before.

The only thing I noiticed is that the Job number has a customer assigned to it that's not the same as the customer I'm importing in that's going to use it, but that never mattered before the upgrade.

Any help would be apperciated.
Thanks.

MAS 1.8 to 4.1?

There are things you could do in previous versions that you cannot do in 4.1 due to the new 4.XX standard and the use of business objects in the progam. Based on what you have poted it makes sense that your import would fail if the job and customer do not match in your import.

Yea from 1.8 to 4.1.
I got the JobNo working when I'd create a new job under Job Cost - Job Materfile Maintenance and created a new JobNo assigning it to the specific customer I'm importing.

The problem with that is the other customers we have, use the same JobNo code but now cannot if it is already created and assigned to another customer... so we would need to create a new JobNo for every customer... and we have some codes used by around 1500 companies.

I thought about creating an import for Job Cost - Job Master Maintenance, but I do not see a Job Cost table to import into under the Visual Integrator Table Name lookup.

Is it possible to import to create new JobNo's? I'd like to just create one for every customer that needs it during import and assign it a slightly different code.

Thanks

I found out how we used JobNo was a bug in the system. It's no longer possible to use it as we had.
Right now we use JobNo as a grouping. Say we use the same JobNo for 5 customers, what we're doing is just grouping them all together for cost so at the end of the year we can see how much money was recieved under that jobno or how much we paid our employees (payroll). Does anyone know anywhere else where we could do the samething but use same code to represent multiple customers and/or employees?
Thanks
