Visual indicator for 2008's 1

Does anyone know of a low cost solution for a visual indicator (flashing or strobe light) for 2008 phones? I need to have them not ring, but be able to see they are ringing. My vendor sugested a 4100 AuxBox for visual ringing and a strobe, but they are almost $400 each.

The question is though to make it flash without the ring.

My original thought was to use the aux ringer adapter and cut the speaker wires.

I'd still like to know why the RNGB prompt set in CLS is not making my 2616 RING on a second call presentation to the set. Still getting the BUZZ. I used to do this all the time when I was a MAC technician.

I mainly work on network and system features now, and rarely touch the station side and this one is driving me crazy!

I just made that change on my set and the second line is ringing. Is your set off hook?
