Hi.

I am having a problem with one of my offsite locations.

The application is written in VFP 3. We are moving to an ASP application with a SQL Server backend, but I have to keep my locations up and running on the VFP 3 until the move.

My issue is they are trying to print from the application, but it keeps wanting to print to file. The printer looks like it is set up properly and the report form setup looks ok. Their Office applications (Word, Excel, etc) print fine.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure the default printer is not set up to print to a file rather than a printer port with printer attached. Just a thought, VFP 3 maybe taking a snap-shot of the default printer at the time that your application is starting. Also, you could try and remove the device specific information from the FRX file. Check FAQs area on this forum if you're not sure how to do this...FRX files hold information in them about the device from the development machine unless it is removed. Couple of ideas for you anyways.
