Can anyone tell me how to go about creating a vbg to add aa standard exe and dll to to test.
 
Sure. I cover this in detail in faq708-5940, near the top. But, you have the idea that you have to somehow create a group and then add your two projects to it. This isn't the case. You have to open one of your projects (either your activex dll or your standard exe) and then do a File/Add Project to add the other. This will automatically create the group structure.
