visual basic compile error in hidden module:autoexec

When I open and close excel or word 2000, I recieve the error message " Visual Basic Compile error in hidden module:autoexec"

Can anyone tell me why this occurs and what can be done to alleviate this problem. Thanks

Look for a file called Pdfmaker.xla and delete it or rename it.

I deleted the file but the error message still appears when I open and close excel 2000. I also renamed the file with the same result.

The error message no longer appears when I open and close excel 2000.

any other suggestions? Thanks
