Hello you all...

For the moment I'm doing a lot of reports-programming and I always used the embedded visual basic report maker for this purpose... What I would like to know is how to get the crystal reports controlen in visual basic. I have the stand alone Enterprise Edition of VB (so not the visual studio version).
Is this controle easy to use?

thanks for all the help

When you install the Crystal Reports Designer Component, you can choose it from your Project Menu (like forms, modules,...) and add a Crystal Report to your project.

It similar to using the Data Reports from Visual Basic but better and it has more properties to play around with! :)
The designer integrates completely with the VB IDE.

What I would like to know is how to install this component... I already checked my vb-setup cd's but I can't find it anywhere... (or maybe I didn't searched enough...:) )

I know there's a version on one of the Visual Studio CD's. It's v4.6 (ancient!!) but I can't remember which CD it is.

It's located under a directory \Common\Tools\crysrep

You can also download it from their website but that's an evaluation version.
