my T2080 shows 1 processor in taskmanager (I miss the two procesor display - i paid for it didn't I?). In syst. properties it's "T2080 @ 1.723 Mhz, 1.723Mhz", device mngr shows 2 processors, ...
system configuration "boot 1 or 2 processors" (as settings for OS boot) allows me only 1 as a choice - even though, before, "registry fast" optimized it -probably for XP, i could select 1 or 2 ...
on testing, it does 6703 MIPS = 2401/3115 MFlops - I'm not sure if this is OK or just lukewarm..
boot.ini sais " multi (0), disc (0) ...."
I wonder if NTboot is not set to: /NUMPROC=1 ???
but don't know how to reset it ...
my laptop is not smoking yet, but maybe i should do something?
lamerrunononeproc=firehazard?

Select the Performance View in Task Manager, look at the options under CPU History, how many Graphs have you selected? Is that what you are talking about?

thanks for asking, but no, that's not it, i was cmplaining about syst. properties: "T2080 @ 1.723 Mhz, 1.723Mhz", and system bot configuration "boot 1 or 2 processors" (as settings for OS boot) allowing me only 1 as a choice ...
in the meantime, i did a restore, set bios to significant bit off, then back again and miraculosly, in syst. boot config, it appeared i can now boot 2 processors...
also, 8507 Mips and 4806/6220MFlops - there s a difference!
so, at least this provided some excitement and a chance to learn, while i can't explain what just happened...
