I have problem Freezing Vista evry time when i start vista. as soon as it shows all icons of desktop after few swconds it freeze. i startes in safe mode and find this error in event viewr.

Event ID 6,
IRQARB:- ACPI Bios does not contain an IRQ for device in PCI slot 5, function 0.

I moved the cards in different slots but getting same problem.

I have kinda the same problem. It boots up and everything though. It just crashes. the error message says

IRQARB: ACPI BIOS does not contain an IRQ for the device in PCI slot 14, function 0. Please contact your system vendor for technical assistance.

It says this for pci slot 11 12 and 13 too. I don't even have that many slots let alone know of any motherboards that do.

Is there any Bios update available? Have you tried running with the Bios set to its Safe defaults?

"Please contact your system vendor for technical assistance", might be worth a try as they wont sell much until the fault is fixed.

I had a similar problem which only appeared after installing rc2, found it was the onboard sd card reader that was causing the system to freeze. Worked fine on rc1 and previous betas but have had to disable the sd card in device manager to stabalise.

When I was born I was so suprised I didn't talk for 18 months

on my system Bios is up 2 date. I contact ASUS and they said they are working on drivers for Vista. But i called 4-5 times ASUS and every time i get different answer. Now i installed RC2 but problem is still there.
