Hey All,

We have a domain setup at work, I'm playing with our first Vista machine on the network now.

I have it logged into the domain, but when trying to switch users/log off between the domain user profile and the 'this computer' profile it doesn't give me that option.

In XP Pro during the log on screen you can choose to log in to the Domain or the 'this computer' profile (for personal access to My Doc's etc. that were there when setup on a WOKRGROUP, etc.).

Is this still a optioni with Vista?? Any ideas here?

At login screen, choose other user, then use localcomputername\username.
If you want to log back to domain, you need domainname\username.

All of this points to more Vista nonsense.

But a bigger question is - why are you going to Vista now when 7 is just around the corner?

thanks for the help. that did the trick... what a joke.

well, the user brought in his personal laptop that had vista on it already. I've been trying to avoid it all together.
