Hello,

Wasn't sure if this posting should go here or in the Windows 2003 Server forum - but here goes.

We have a snall Windows 2003 domain with around 10 network printers. The majority of clients are Vista clients with a smattering of XP clints.

The issue is - any Vista PC can see/connect to and print to any network printer, no matter if the security on the printer has been configured to prevent certain people printing to it. The XP clients behave as expected - in that if the security is set to stop an XP user from printing to a certain printer - they can't print to that printer. Not so with Vista PCs though.

Anyone come across this before or know the answer.

The fact that the XP clients work as expected leads me to beleive I set the printers up correctly on the server - so is this a Vista problem?

Ahhhhh Ben - good point.

I turned Point and Print on a while ago so users could add there own printers instead of having to get an Admin to install the drivers.

Good point Ben - at least I know where to look now.

Top man :)
