Vista and Domain networking

Hello All:
Have a laptop on my domain working fine. Try to connect thier map drive and has big red X thru it. Try to map a new one and says cannot contact domain. Run virus checkere antispy ware programs on it check all the services it is suppose to have. shut off the firewall turn on the firewall check the exceptions. All fine.... So I said fine Service pack one will fix it. Nope. I can bring up a box for user name and password if I put in the @domain name but says cannot find domain. If I put in the name it says cannot contract AD.... Any ideas???

Have you checked the status of the computer account in Active Directory? Is it missing or is it showing as disabled? Try disjoining the computer from the domain and then rejoin it.

Tried that and cannot access domain controller. "Vista a new Millenium"

Can you ping the DC successfully?

I can ping out but cannot ping laptop even tho it has the domain ip.
