I have two questions:

1. Can the layout of a Visio diagram (specifically a flowchart) be saved to a database and be accessed from multiple computers?

2. Please bear with me on this question, I know nothing about shapes. Is it possible to have a drop-down box in a shape? If so, is it possible for that drop-down to pull its contents from a database?

Any information would REALLY be appreciated. I would love if someone could answer these questions and possibly point me in the direction of a few resources.

Thanks!

Yes, you can do this. Its actually easier to create the database first, then "link" visio objects to cells or data in the database. For Visio 2003, Open up Visio, under TOOLS, ADD ONS, select VISIO EXTRAS, then DATABASE WIZARD.

this should help.

Beltic,
I am trying to connect an Access datafile to Visio and when I try to use the Database wizard it stops me at the part that asks for the stencil! I am using visio 2000 and access xp if that helps.
