Inserting an image file ( Any Format ) into a VISIO sheet over 750KB will cause the import filer hang.
I have tried every image format known to visio and same issue seems to happen.
MS denies that this is a problem.
Does anyone have an idea as to what may be going on??

Thanks

I have tried to insert a .bmp image file into Visio 2000. The image file was a .bmp file at a size of 1.766k and then I tried one at 4.922k and I didnt experience any problems.
My first question though would be how much RAM has your computer got? Another words, has it got the grunt ot do something like that?

Most of the time, when the computer freezes up, I find its the hardware not a software problem.

Purchase more RAM, then give it a go.
Let me know how you go

cheers

Well I can guarentee that it's not a hardware problem.
This is a geological survey PC wich tops out at Dual 1.4Gb CPU 4GB Ram and 4 80GB SCSI Hdd's
Altho that was my first thought I quickly dismissed it when my client told me his system specs...

Thanks for the reply/
