Im getting an "Re-enter error 19 in EDC" Im already using a modem in this site. Any help would be apreciated.

Translated Response (removed STX): E4. 000100014002119 051309164412 RE ENTER 0  &"

CSslClient::RunCEngineVISANET::processResponse() - RFC 049885 replacing auth field, orig data was:[]"

CEngineVISANET::processResponse() - Error: 19 - RE ENTER"

Is it a debit transaction? Typically a reenter error means encryption problem with the pin-pad.

No idea what the error message means, communication between EDC and processors can yield some pretty cryptic messages.

Is it when you try to authorize or when you try to batch?
And if you're using a modem, then you're not using SSL, as your title alludes.

I am usually the last guy to want to call and talk to anyone to fix a problem, but calling the processors help desk might be the way to go. They usually start off with some garbage about how they don't support POS systems (standard disclaimer they use) but if you can re-enter the card while you have them on the line, a lot of times the can see exactly what happens on their end, right then and there- even if they know nothing about Aloha, what they see on their end is often enough to fix the problem.

The trick is getting someone both knowledgeable and willing to help. You literally may have to call and hang up if you get someone who sounds like they aren't very helpful or clueless. A co-worker taught me that trick, and believe it or not, it usually works.

New install of this Visanet account or an existing visanet account that just started doing this?

On authorizations, settlement or both?

What version Aloha EDC?

Is this Heartland?

Hi:

I got the issue resolved. The issue was caused by an invalid country code that was generated when making EDC Change in the EDC interface program. From now on I edit EDC config directly in the edc.ini file.
