VirusScan ASaP - mygtsvc.exe stops responding (MyCIO Agent Service)

Machine is a Dell PC running Windows Me. 128 MB RAM.

Has VirusScan ASaP and BlackIce firewall running.

Soon after startup MyCIO Agent Service (myagtsvc.exe) stops respoding and has to be closed manually before the machine can be shut down.

Any ideas very much appreciated. Thanks

Did this ever work correctly with the Black Ice firewall?

The myagtsvc.exe runs to check for updates, if a firewall doesn't know to let it go out to the internet it can crash or hang.

Check the firewall and see if it allows that exe to connect to the internet.

Have tried running just the antivirus without firewall. No joy unfortunately. Same error.

Any other ideas?

An uninstall/reinstall of VS usually cleans it up.
