Morning: I have been getting the message below when trying to log off my XP SP2 machine and cant get rid of it.

"Symantec Antivirus Found a disk in the floppy drive. In order to decrease the risk of being infected with a boot sector virus, remove the floppy before you shut down"

Now: I have no floppy in my PC so there is nothing to remove.

I am using Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition, Full Version: 8.00.9374 with full live updates applied.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks...

Rich

Well I dont know what NAV you have but for NAVCE if you go into configure / File system auto-protect/ Advanced button/ additional advanced options/ floppies

the setting is "Do not check floppies upon system shutdown

Thanks Auger.. It worked. Feel a little stupid.. but am glad it is over.. Don't know how it got checked to begin with.. kind of a mystery.
