Virtual Voice is Busy 9608 phone

Hi am having an issue with a 9608 phone, when pressing message button is states virtual voice busy. How do I get it to retrieve messages using the message button?

What happens when you dial *17?
Does it work on another phone?
Phone system?
Version?
Voicemail type?

*17 seems to work just not the message button.

Other phones work when pressing the message button

Make sure the phone loaded the correct firmware

just for grins try a reboot of the phone and retest

I will check the firmware on my next trip to the office and see if it differs from any other phones.If it is a lower release should I default the phone and let it look for the new firmware

No need to reset, all phones should get the upgrade files when they reboot if the settings are correct for the file server.
For smaller site I always use the IP500v2 SD card as file source.
