Hey guys!!

I have a customer IPO 9.1 that had a UCM with Virtual UCM Preferred Edition license. I had a heartbeat failure and we replaced the UCM, but now the Virtual UCM license is gone from the config and so obviously it won't run for more than 2 hours.

How can we restore that virtual license?

Thank you,

They stopped doing Virtual Licenses on UCM's - Unfortunately I believe your only option is to purchase preferred edition.

Being on 9.1 you will need to upgrade to R10+ and migrate existing licenses to PLDS.

Unless they still have UCM's out there with Virtual Preferred avail.

The virtual licence only came with V1 700501442 and not the V2 700507449 and this is reflected in the price.

You might be able to get a refurbished one if you look around. There were reliability issues with the V1 so the general opinion here is to keep it for the licence but run the application server elsewhere.

As it turns out after looking at their system, they only have about 10 phones and a simple AA, and even had 2 additional essential edition vm ports, so I just switched them to embedded.

Thank you,
