I have been asked to configure virtual office for some phones. Reading through the docs, it looks like virtual office only works with M39xx phones. Is this correct?

From document NN43001-567

"Note 1: Only M3903 and M3904 Digital Telephones can be
configured as a Virtual or Host Terminal."

Does this mean that I can not configure a 2050 client to use virtual login to an office extension?

Thanks

Virtual office works much better on IP phones. What rls of software on your switch ?

Virtual office on 4.5 will only work on like for like phones. The i2050 looks like an i2004 so you can VO between them. Just set the cls of VOUA on the TNs that you want to allow VO on.

Virtual office on 4.5 will only work on like for like phones." Wrong for IP Phones. There is a table in the IP Line Fundamentals NTP which shows how the various cross-types works.

Sounds like it is possible after all... Great news. I want to configure 2050 clients to VO to m3904s, 1140Es, 2016s and 2008s.

So once I get VOUA on the TN I want to VO to, is it just a matter of putting a 'VO logging' button on the 2050?

single site VO= 39xx (dgtl)
Network wide ip office= mutiple sites (ip only)

Remember if it doesn't work hit it harder
