I am always getting the message about running low on Virtual Memory.
I'm trying to remove some programs, and I'm also getting errors about files missing and cannot remove them. I suspect that it is the uninstall software that is encountering the errors when I'm trying to remove them.

Is there a software program that will remove existing programs completely from a computer that I can download somewhere?

I'm running a Compaq deskpro computer with Win98.

Thanks,

Virtual Memory is disk space. Clean up the disk and remove unneeded files. As for uninstall programs... there are a myriad of them. Go to any of the major download sites and search for uninstall. Download.com is probably the best bet.

Unintall applications work if you remember to launch them prior to installing an application.

For existing applications, check the Program Files folder. Sometimes there is an uninstall routine. Otherwise, delete the files.

Then find a good registry cleaner that will identify what are no orphan entries. Toni Arts Easy Cleaner is a nice job and freeware:
