Hello,

Would anybody be able to direct me to a good source pertaining to creating "virtual machines " in Solaris 10?
For instance, I am interested in creating a virtual Solaris 9 enviroment on Solaris 10.

Thanks in advance.

OK, I did a little more research, it appears that I was mistaken, zone.s and containers are more like the chroot facility than they are like vm's

Any Zones/Containers created under Solaris 10 must be solaris release 10 ....

We have just our Sun Fire V880 to Version 10. Unfortunatly one of our root disk has failed. We have unmirrored the device, but when we try to unconfigure the device using "cfgadm -c" we get the message "configuration operation not supported"

Does anyone have any ideas, if so, a quick response would be appreciated.
Many thanks in advance for your help

Have you tried the -f (force) option to cfgadm? What is the exact cfgadm command you use?
